IV infusion set without air vent for plastic fluid bags, 150 cm tubing, 20 drops per ml

IV infusion set without air vent at a glance

The sharp spike goes into the bag. Fluid drips through a chamber with a 15 micron filter, then runs down 150 cm of PVC tubing measuring 2.8 x 3.8 mm. A V type roller clamp sets the flow.

A self sealing latex injection bulb sits on the line. The set ends in a luer tip or luer lock. It is EO sterilised, non pyrogenic and single use.

When should I use an infusion set without an air vent?

When the fluid comes in a collapsible plastic bag. The bag folds in on itself as it empties, so no air needs to enter. That is exactly what an IV infusion set without air vent is built for.

Glass bottles are different. They need air to enter as fluid leaves, so for bottles choose our IV infusion set with air vent instead.

What is the difference between vented and non vented giving sets?

A vented set has a spike with an air inlet and a bacterial air filter. A non vented set has a plain sharp spike. Everything else, the 15 micron filter, the 150 cm tubing and the 20 drops per ml drop factor, is the same on both Sternmed sets.

If every fluid on your shelf is in a plastic bag, the IV infusion set without air vent is the simpler choice.

How much is a giving set in Kenya?

Giving sets across Kenya are priced per piece or per carton and non vented sets usually cost less than vented ones. Our set is quote only until stock lands on 27 November 2026.

Send your quantity on WhatsApp at +254 799 526972 and we reply with a price. Pay by M Pesa or cash on delivery. Hospitals and clinics can pay against a pro forma invoice or an LPO.

How many giving sets does a ward need a month?

Count the infusions you run a day and multiply by the days, then add a margin for set changes. One IV infusion set without air vent covers one bag on one line. A set is single use, so every new bag on a new line means a new set.
